Your words are heart...Don't stop writing Daryl! Your words are heartfelt and meaningful. This post in particular caught my attention. We live in a fallen world, we have fallen bodies and we experience death and sin in a very real way. There is only one unforgivabe sin - to deny Jesus. He is the only way to salvation, but he has made it so freely available to all who will acknowledge that they need Him. His grace and mercy is enough for anyone. Every person will have weakness that manifests in different ways - we are ALL in need of a saviour - one no more than the other. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. It's a revolutionary message, one like no other religion, that WHOSOEVER will believe in Jesus will be saved - a free gift! Love like this I have not seen anywhere else in this world.

Keep at it Daryl. It's all so much more real when it's personal.AmyJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15966820202710538511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205337518286586919.post-16042798724537908312010-05-31T13:45:16.755+02:002010-05-31T13:45:16.755+02:00By saying ".. this happened so that the work ...By saying ".. this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life" Jesus is not saying "God made him blind" - for we know sickness & disease is not of God "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father ..." (James 1:17) - but that his blindness happened (is a reality) and an opportunity for Gods healing work to be displayed in his life. In fact, he was being healed for the salvation of his soul. The mans blindness is a result of a fallen world - as you mentioned - and therefore the work of Satan. I don't think God was being unfair here. In fact, quite the opposite. By His grace the man was healed (work of Satan destroyed) and later saved. What I find humorous is that Satan inflicted blindness on this fellow, but God not only healed the blindness, but used it as an opportunity to turn the work of Satan into salvation of this soul. If this man was not blind, he would probably never have met Jesus and never believed. And so Satan helped him get into heaven. Which shows the importance of christians being able to do the same; heal the sick in Jesus' name, thereby allowing the work of God to be displayed in their lives, and giving them an opportunity to be saved.Sir Donhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10553585205954890477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205337518286586919.post-81604149655430726032010-05-25T11:27:52.402+02:002010-05-25T11:27:52.402+02:00Beautiful thought.Beautiful thought.MystaEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07258472209377029619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205337518286586919.post-3524147088974978052010-05-18T18:01:05.066+02:002010-05-18T18:01:05.066+02:00I like your post and i agree that where we are tod...I like your post and i agree that where we are today is a direct result of us using the free will God gave uskambabes bloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05203343789622400710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205337518286586919.post-91718147676461621622010-05-12T10:03:09.175+02:002010-05-12T10:03:09.175+02:00I totally agree. Blame the focus of life, which is now more directed to a social acceptance fuelled by those thoughts that dominate our society most.

Though one has to keep in mind that little has changed - whether people act upon the impetus of their individual souls or whether they worship MTV and aspire to Boy Band fame... it's mostly directed by the stimuli that influence us. Thanks for the awesome comment, i have to agree with you.

One of my colleagues just quoted Oscar Wilde at Me:

"It is the spectator, and not life, that art really mirrors."

Perhaps an addition to that quote could be, "It is the artist, and not life, that art really mirrors."darylhbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09378311817878276948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2205337518286586919.post-8828054904120946532010-03-12T14:31:07.436+02:002010-03-12T14:31:07.436+02:00hmmm...i hav often thought about this.
i think th...hmmm...i hav often thought about this.
i think there is a def difference...otherwise its like sayin ALL nudity is ALWAYS pornographic. which, for obvious reasons its not.

i think it all depends on intent, context and execution. but there are very definite grey areas where a lot of ppl wud argue something is pornographic when to others its art. just last nite i read an article about a photographer from the 70's that dealt with this issue...what the writer saw as art, i saw as vulgar and pornographic.

but this opens a whole other topic..what is art? (dum dum duuuum)

interesting to read how the dictionary defines pornography:
"obscene writings, drawings, photographs, or the like, esp. those having little or no artistic merit." - i like that definition. i guess it then just depends what you define as artistic merit...sighrussiankidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00221212394082146948noreply@blogger.com
